Forest Frizzell

Forest Frizzell is the Director of IT for Hawaii Gas. He is formerly the Business Innovation Officer for the State of Hawaii Office of Information and Management Technology. He is a member of the leadership team tasked with implementing the state Business and Information Technology/Information Resource Management Transformation Plan. Prior Forest was the Chief Information Officer for the Hawaii Community Foundation. When he was the Deputy Director at the Department of Information Technology at the City and County of Honolulu they were awarded the number 1 digital city award for 2011 by the Center for Digital Governance. They were also selected 1 of 8 2012 Code for America Cities. In 2012 he was awarded with Pacific Business News 40 under forty as well as selected for the inaugural class of the Pierre Omidyar Fellowship program. In 2013 he was awarded with Hawaii Business Magazine’s 20 for the next 20. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Hawaiʻi. He has over 14 years of experience in the tech industry.
